Objective:
Design a code-compliant suspended maintenance system that avoids obstructions in walkways used by the tenants of this 15-story apartment building. Recessed balcony anchors provide a clean appearance, which is ideal in areas that will be used for social functions. Care was taken to ensure that the parapet wall was at least 42” high and capable of supporting loads imposed during suspended maintenance.
